As I sit here and think about my Easter Sunday, I came to the realization that next Easter I will be celebrating in Guatemala. Am I still willing to sacrifice what I have here to live in a country that I have never lived in? A country that's consider on the top 20 of the most dangerous in the world? The answer is a resounding YES! Don't get me wrong I do have many insecurities and fears. Last night I was praying about my move and all of the thoughts that have been creeping in. Every single time when I finish my prayer feel so at peace knowing that He has been preparing me for this new path for a long time now.
Yesterday morning we went on another trip to Tecate, Mexico and being there with the kids at the village, trying to distract them while the other volunteers were hiding eggs, I had a "moment." The trips to Tecate have been a stepping stone all along. I feel super thankful to be a part of something bigger. I'm looking forward to the next trip on May 10th.
